Who publishes it

Sydney Brokers is published by the team behind Arrivau, an Australian finance business. That is stated here and in the footer of every page rather than left for you to work out, because who wrote something is part of how you weigh it — particularly on a site about choosing who to trust with your finances.

The division is clean. Anything regulated — credit assistance, applications, product recommendations — sits with the licensed business and does not happen here. This site publishes general information about how broking works and how to check the person in front of you.

What it covers

• How to verify a broker on the free public registers, and what each register actually tells you
• How brokers are paid: upfront and trail commission, clawback, and fee for service
• The questions worth asking in a first conversation, and what a good answer sounds like
• The Sydney-specific conditions — auction, apartment policy, strata, NSW duty — that change the answers

Editorial rules

• Named sources. Licensing, complaints and duty questions link to ASIC, AFCA or Revenue NSW, which set the rules, rather than to a summary.
• A review date on every page. You can always see when something was last checked.
• No individual broker recommendations. This site does not rank, review or refer specific brokers or firms. It gives you the method to assess one yourself.
• No advertising or paid placement. There are no listings on the site, so there is nothing to place.
